Last weekend I strolled through the glorious pines of Trinity Farms with the Burns family as we selected a tree and took some family photos. What a treat to see this family growing. I always have the best time on our shoots.
Capping off my fall travel spree I zipped down to SF for a little fun. Let’s start with my old neighborhood, the Mission. Visited Mission Pie for a bite (and a drink) and even spotted Phil himself at the original Philz Coffee. All in all, a sunny and fabulous visit.
I started college 20 years ago. It’s a staggering number to me. I don’t feel like I’m old enough to say statements of that magnitude but yet, there it is. Every once in a while something will come along to really help put things in perspective. I had one such moment last weekend as I […]
Honestly, still kind of overwhelmed with amazement from baby Lucas’ arrival. Last weekend we took his “newborn” photos. There are air quotes around that because well, I took his actual newborn photos before he was an hour old. Now, he’s an old fogey at 3-weeks. Love this family.
Anyone who knows me understands that my sisters mean the absolute world to me. A few months ago my sister Michelle got married in Mexico. I was in the wedding (Maid of Honor no less) so it was challenging to get a snap in let alone get those prime moments. That’s what their wedding photographer […]
We’ve all been there. Meeting your friend’s significant other for the first time is always a little, well, sketchy. You just never know. All parts of you are hoping this will be the dream scenario: the person is great, your friend is happy, and bonus you dig them enough to potentially have Friendsgiving with them […]
Portland is known for delicious food. On this most recent trip down to the Rose City I paid special attention to the details in the eateries themselves. It has always been an interest of mine and lately, I’m beginning to see it developing into a passion. 23Hoyt sits in the NW area of the city […]
I have a dear dear friend who goes by @Featherscroll on Instagram. Early on in our friendship we made a tradition of sketching together (even if it’s stick figures which I usually do, she however is SUPER talented). We started meeting every Wednesday morning over coffee before work and when schedules and location got more […]
It’s amazing how sometimes forcing yourself to take a break and see the sky and breathe the air will just fuel you. Hey, coffee doesn’t hurt either it’s true. What about both? In a really happy turn of events we’ve started little coffee breaks or lunchtime photo strolls at the office. Today I had a […]
Maybe you’ve heard of Salt & Straw but don’t get all the fuss. It’s just ice cream, right? WRONG. Insanely long line? Worth it. Too many flavor options? Worth it. But I have to get to Portland to eat this stuff? People, worth it. Also, they have a shop in LA so West Coasters I […]
