I started college 20 years ago. It’s a staggering number to me. I don’t feel like I’m old enough to say statements of that magnitude but yet, there it is. Every once in a while something will come along to really help put things in perspective. I had one such moment last weekend as I took family portraits for an old college pal of mine, who has since gotten married and had 2 kids. As I looked through my viewfinder I was just astonished by time and life and humanity. It became a much deeper moment than I ever could have anticipated. I feel so lucky to be able to help people tell the stories of their lives. This is one of the only ways we have to remember and leave moments behind. I treasure it so dearly. With that, I give you the gorgeous Smith family and our autumn shoot at St. Edwards State Park in Kenmore, WA.
