In honor of my newest addition, the full-framed Canon 5D Mark III, I’ve decided to start a little series where I play with my lenses and have a bit fun with different f-stops.  Today, I started with Canon’s 50mm 1.4 lens.  I shot everything at 1.4 and went for a soft series of shots with shallow depth of field.  If my time working at CreativeLive has taught me anything it’s that the the tools you use aren’t the key, it’s knowing which ones you need and how to use them to maximize your needs.  It was pretty tricky to get little Meeko to sit still long enough for some of these but I still got some sweet moments with her.  So happy to turn this corner with shooting.
