Cozy Town can happen anytime. While it’s most obviously present in the cooler months and especially around the holidays, Cozy Town to me is a state of being. And it all starts with a candle. A tiny spark, a flicker, a moment of pause. That little ritual sets the stage to take a beat.
True cozy town for me is getting into comfortable clothes, like reeeally comfortable ones. Socks and slippers if that’s your thing. There’s no expectation here. Maybe it’s a book, maybe it’s TV, maybe it’s lighting the fireplace. Generally there’s a blanket involved and often a warming drink. It’s a hug for yourself and anyone around you, a reminder to find comfort in the moment with whatever’s near and available to make you feel snug.
