If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be having maternity and newborn sessions I probably would have said “no way, not me – other people do those”.  In my head I’ve always had some image of what those shoots are supposed to look like…studio lighting, lots of white fabric draped everywhere,  awkward poses and interesting prop choices.  Who knew that thanks to Pinterest, my job at CreativeLive, and the trust & confidence of my dear friend Allison Fox of Olive Events I have been able to shoot both of those things and adore every minute of it.  It’s amazing what can happen when you look beyond your assumptions and embrace what is special and new. I’m so very lucky to have been able to capture Zach in his first month.  What a little darling boy he is!  After our shoot I even got to rock him to sleep and enjoy a few baby snuggles.  It was such a treat and a joy.  Here’s to Allison and Dave for bringing the world Zach!  I can’t wait to see what mischief this one will be getting into!
