Substantial is a digital product studio based in Seattle. As part of their new push to do more storytelling around their work and people, we did a series of environmental portraits and space details to showcase the company and talented team.
Lauren Ko of Lokokitchen makes incredibly clever and beautiful pies. She’s become an Instagram sensation tossing about hilarious puns alongside her magnificent bakes with whimsy and joy. As the maker and photographer of her pies, she’s rarely in the photos themselves, so we spent a morning capturing her in her element.

Gather Seattle is a community of creatives in the Seattle area with a passion for design and gathering around the table. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph several farm to table lunches and an event at the Seattle Design Center for them. Each event is meant to inspire, connect, and encourage using our collective creative skills for good for one another and the world. After the first event I attended, I became a member and haven’t looked back. Gather is now 2 years old and founder Chloe Csadenyi-Benson is cranking the awesome up a notch in 2019 with a new podcast. She tapped me to photograph the recordings of the first few episodes. Each one is recorded at the home of a local creative so we focused on showcasing them in their space through a series of small vignettes.

Ann came to me as she was re-launching her website and making some changes to her business. We mapped out a multi-day series of shoots across her commercial clients, home clients, and her own home to gather assets to feature across her site. We refreshed portraits and even managed to get a few snaps of her little pup love, Biscuit to round out the story and reflect her playful personality.

The CreativeLive brand is anchored in authenticity and the creator's journey. To that effect as the lead on their brand, I crafted a strategy for their photography based around real creators experiencing the creative journey and life’s moments. Images used existing light to help convey the genuine nature of the moment. They showcase creators in progress, tools of the trade, and the in between quiet moments. This series is behind the scenes of one of the brand shoots.
The folks at The I.D.E.A Brand hired me to teach a flat lay styling & photography workshop, lead a photo shoot with local social influencers, and photograph their pop up event for bag company Pacsafe and their new City Safe collection. It was a beautiful afternoon at Seattle’s Bar Melusine on Capitol Hill. I shopped for fun items that captured the spirit of the Pacsafe brand for event guests to style in their own ways with their new stylish bags.
