I feel like it’s a universal truth that photogs don’t like to be in front of the camera. Thanks to my mom’s reminders to get myself in front of the camera more, I’m trying to relinquish control, accept my ‘flaws’, and embrace the other side of the lens. While I was in NY, my pal took a couple shots that helped me get a little more comfortable and I have to say, it’s really good to be on the other side and understand what it’s like. We stumbled upon this little garden oasis on the Upper West Side that was just dreamy. Then today at work I tried my hand at a pose from one of our most popular instructors. I’ve got a little remote now as well so who knows a self-portrait series might just materialize.
