When I was little, my Dad introduced me to Danny Kaye in “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty“.  It was a silly little movie but full of fun and whimsy.  I have no doubt my father’s love of this movie (and countless others) helped spur my passion for filmmaking at a young age.  Light years later I saw Ben Stiller’s version of Mitty in a more serious and contemporary version of Thurber’s story.  It touched something inside that I feel I often squash, my imagination.  It’s a little late, but my new year’s resolution is to live in my dream-state and make it my reality.
